PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Design a ‘Black Line-Tracer’ i.e. a line tracer to trace black line on a white surface. Your robot making skills will be put to test as the track has so many right, left and U-turns. Also there will be intersections of the line at places. All interested participants with a valid college I-card are eligible to participate.

Registration Fee:
Rs150/- per team.
A team comprises of 3-4 members.
RULES:-
1. Throughout the race your robot has to be in a single structure. Robot splitting in multiple parts after the start is not allowed.
2. Two robots will race against each other on a twin track.
3. One side of the track will be an exact mirror image of the other half.
4. Maximum 4 members per team.
5. Deciding procedure will be relative in case both the participant robots get stuck somewhere in the track before the finish line.
6.Use of readymade LEGO kits or other readymade kits and other part is not allowed. Teams doing so will be disqualified. However wheels & motors can be readymade.
7. Hard-coding or re-programming once the race starts, is not allowed. Teams doing so will be disqualified.
8.The maximum time of a run will be 5 minutes.
9. Use of shortcuts is not allowed. It is mandatory to trace the complete white line from start to finish.
10. A common computer will be provided to the teams for last minute programming work. Teams are requested to carry their own laptops and required software for their own convenience. No micro controller kits will be provided by the organizers.
11. The participant’s robot should not obstruct the opponent’s robot at any point during the race. Doing so might lead to disqualification.
12. The decisions of the organizers are all binding and final. The organizers hold complete rights to make any changes to the track and the rules of the event.
ROBOT DETAILS:-
1. The robot must fit in a box of size 25cm x25cm x 25cm.
2. On-board power supplies (batteries) as well as direct power supplies
for the robot is allowed.
3. There is no restriction on the weight of the machine.
4. The Machine should be completely autonomous and at no point of
time should there be any external control signal given to the
Machine.
5. Chemical, compressed gas and rocket fuels, combustion power
methods, etc are strictly prohibited.
6. However commercial batteries like dry cells and lead
Acetate cells are permitted.
